Jambora Savings and Credit Co-operative Society Ltd was established in 2017 with the sole objective to promote the social and economic well being of its members’ by affording them an opportunity to accumulate their savings, and in turn creating a pool of funds that may be on lend to the members for provident and productive purposes at fair and reasonable interest rates.

The head office of the Sacco is located at Jamii Bora Towers, along Argwings Kodhek road. Our members can also access services at any Jamii Bora Bank branch.

Membership Eligibility

Jambora Sacco's Membership is open to all Kenyan Nationals anywhere in the World.

Individual Membership

To join the Sacco one needs to:

  1. Complete Membership Application Form
  2. Attach copy of Kenyan National Identity Card or Valid Kenyan Passport
  3. Attach coloured passport size photograph.

Joint Membership

To join the Sacco one needs to:

  1. Complete the Joint Membership Application Form.
  2. Attach copy of Kenyan National Identity Card or Valid Kenyan Passport for both applicants.
  3. Attach colored passport size photograph for both applicants.

Group Membership

To join the Sacco one needs to:

  1. Complete group membership application form.
  2. Attach minutes of the group's meeting resolving to join Jambora Sacco.
  3. Attach copies of Identification Cards, Passport and photos of all the group members.
  4. Attach copy of group's registration certificate.

Downloads

Normal Loans
  • Intended to improve our members standards of living e.g. fixed asset purchase
  • Loan repayment period of 24 months
  • Loan guaranteed five (5) times member’s savings/deposits
  • Interest rate of 0.9% per month on reducing basis
Education Loans
  • Provide short-term finance for education of the members and their dependents
  • Loan repayment period of 12 months
  • Interest rate of 0.9% per annum on reducing basis
  • Only one school fees loan may be granted in one calendar year
  • Payments shall be made direct to the school.
Emergency Loans
  • Available to members to meet urgent needs such as sudden hospitalization, death, natural disasters, fire etc.,
  • Emergency loan will be considered as a benefit to good members only
  • Loan repayment period of maximum 12 months
  • Interest rate of 1.25% per annum on reducing basis
Group Loans
  • Available to registered groups after six (6) months of continuous savings
  • Loan repayment period of maximum 2 years
  • Interest rate of 0.9% per month on reducing basis
  • Loan guaranteed three (3) times group’s savings/deposits
  • Must be repaid within the remaining repayment period of the original loan period previously being financed
  • Refinancing will be allowed once per loan, only after interest due on the loan has been paid in full
Top-up Loans

Jambora Sacco has partnered with Jamii Bora Bank to offer top-up loans to its members.

Short term advance features

  • Repayment period of two months
  • Prevailing bank interest rate on a reducing balance
  • Amount given is 50% of the members’ net pay and is recovered using the check off system

Long term advance features

  • Repayment period of six months
  • Prevailing bank interest rate on a reducing balance
  • Amount given is 50% of the members’ net pay and is recovered using the check off system.
